It seems to stretch on for miles. A large crowd at the entrance of the Forbidden City. Hey all! I love traveling, Starbucks coffee, meeting new people and learning Chinese.
What Is The Forbidden City in Beijing? - Asia Undiscovered
Follow me as I share my experiences and adventures in Asia! The Forbidden City has always been on my bucket list! It would be fun to learn about the history of ancient China, and see all that architecture. Thanks for the tip about booking in advance! Your advice and tips are great. We will keep them in mind for when we eventually make it over to see it for ourselves.
What an incredible experience! I always feel such a palpable deja vu of history when I visit places such as this. Yes for people who love history and ancient architecture, the Forbidden City is definitely the place to visit! No wonder it can have 80, visitors a day. Did it seem crowded? I love the vibrant colors and the intricate stone work. While I had heard about the other places to visit when getting to Beijing, learning about the Forbidden City for the first time through this post.
The entrance to the city looks so majestic. Its amazing to discover the place that was the center of the Chinese government for close to years.

Loved the way detailed history and architecture is so nicely described in here. The Forbidden City is such a stunning place to visit and fully agree with you — at least three hours!!!
Do NOT try to jam in all the sights in one day. And buying tickets in advance an absolute must. Last time there with friends, we toured on our own … the way to do it and super easy. Allows you to wander at your own pace. This city looks amazing, I love the colours and vibrancy of it. It always amazes me how humans can create such buildings that can stand the test of time.
I feel ancient China and ancient Greece was just leaps and bounds ahead of where we are now. Yes I agree!
It is amazing to see how humans could make something so impressive and before modern technology! The Forbidden city looks huge! Impressive to know that they built this in — ! Thanks for the tips for planning. My pleasure!
